Today there’s entertainment everywhere, everyday, all the time, even on our telephones. Yesteryear entertainment was of your own making and had some practical basis like school programs, quilting bees, lyceum, debates, ladies aid, church meals, picnics, sleigh rides, yarns around the cracker barrel at the general store, all of which taught manners and morals. There wasn’t radio, television, film or Facebook.
